Summer Gathering
20–23 August 2009

Join us this August for the TribalEarth Summer Gathering - four days of relaxation, music and celebration in the beautiful and peaceful countryside at Seddlescombe near Hastings, Sussex TN33 0RR. Map

TribalEarth Summer Gathering is one of the country’s most chilled out and friendly festivals, a real escape from the frenetic world outside. It’s smaller than most camps making it very child friendly and after only a few hours of being there you’ll feel that you are part of one big family.

The most relaxed camp I have ever been too.

I just love your new composting toilets.

The opening circle was fantastic, unlike others, it was so un-threatening.

Des does a mighty opening ceremony.

I've never known so many teenagers be so chilled!

This bottom field is so much better, just look at the view. It's like looking over 'The Shire".

Child friendly camps. Booze discouraged
No drugs. No dogs.

As always you’ll find loads to keep you entertained, inspired and enthralled at a TribalEarth Gathering.

Current programme here

See and dance to an eclectic mix of folk and world fusion bands

Be inspired at a host of workshops – the workshop programme is being put together as we speak but check out last year’s (PDF download) to give you a flavour of what to expect. From belly dancing to shamanic journeying, Hindu chanting to learning the Samba we all went away a lot happier and wiser

New – learn about permaculture, composting and others ways to tread lightly on this beautiful planet at the Green Workshops

Relax in the sound garden

Take care of your self in the healing area with our qualified practitioners

Dine out once in a while – you’ll find plenty of delicious food in the Cafe

Sit round the camp fire and just chat amongst friends

Bring a Djembe – join professional drummers and novices alike for some brilliant drum circles and workshops

Lose yourself in the opening and closing ceremonies – very spiritual and very moving

Drop the kids off at the children’s area – they’ll have a great time making lanterns and preparing a show for Saturday night

Listen to stories both magical and bawdy from our resident bard David

Sweat it out in our sauna yurt or refresh yourself with a shower!

TribalEarth is a green festival. Last year we built our own permanent composting toilets in the festival field this year we have eco-showers. We encourage recycling, use solar power and as far as possible try to create a harmonious environment that respects both the land we borrow and the people we share this wonderful experience with.

So join us for a life changing four days and help us celebrate TribalEarth

The highlight of my year so far! This festival feeds my soul - live music, drumming, dancing, yoga, delicious food, magical marquees and teepees and best of all a meeting of kindred spirits.
