Tools and Safety - One of the most refreshing aspects of Forest School is the can-do approach to working with a range of tools. Following a set of common sense rules and under supervision children are encouraged to initially use 'safe' tools; Secateurs, potatoes peelers, hand drills etc., without them feeling the day was any less adventurous. And later, having demonstrated the skills, aptitude and attitude to use them safely, progress to; knives, saws, brace drills and billhooks etc.

All sessions will be in small groups to offer maximum supervision and offer a range of activities to allow for different ages and abilities. Safety will be paramount; All participants will be introduced to a few simple rules for the site, for their own health and safety, then we'll get on with it and have fun…

All instructors are fully CRB checked. Copies of CRB available on request.
